Research

From 1995 - 2008 Professor Gittoes pursued a successful academic career.

In 2008 he moved to the NHS to take on a senior leadership role. He continues to be highly active in research and teaching.

 

Since 2016 and his appointment as Honorary Professor of Endocrinology, he has also been Head of the Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Institute of Metabolsim and Systems Research at the University of Birmingham.
